Why Should I Brush My Beard?
That’s a great question and one that can easily be answered with all these great benefits!
Just like the hair on your head, the hair on your face needs the same care and attention. Proper care of your beard will keep it looking its best.
The first reason we recommend brushing is because doing so will evenly distribute beard oil throughout your facial hair, which will moisturize your skin underneath. This prevents your beard from becoming dry and itchy. Brushing your beard will also help remove any dandruff or dry skin and help prevent ingrown hairs.
Brushing trains your hair to grow downwards, rather than out. Brushing your beard one to two times a day will keep it neat and in place and looking its best as it continues to grow. It will also help your beard look longer and fuller.
We recommend a boar bristle brush to brush your beard. When you start, brush the hairs upward away from your neck, under your chin. Then brush the whole beard downwards. If you’re rocking a mustache, brush it to the side under your nose to prevent the hairs from getting down into your mouth.
If you’re already applying beard oil, beard butter and taking good care of your beard, brushing is just one more thing you can add to keep your beard healthy, full and looking its best!
